How he proposed...

Our plans for that day was to go to my cousin Kim's house for a BBQ. We packed up what drinks and snacks we wanted to bring and headed off for a family gathering.

It was a beautiful day, Tony kept asking if my parents or my brother were coming to Kim's and I explained why they wouldnt be there. (little did I know he wanted to ask either one of them for their blessing to ask me to marry him)

We stayed all day and part of the night and then decided to go over to his brother's house to end the evening. We arrived and ended up in deep discussion about many touchy subjects. After awhile we decided it was time to leave and yet still "discussing" our
different views on those touchy subjects.

When we got back to his house, he was upset that I didnt realize how much he loved me. He grabbed something out of the garage cabinet and proposed to me right in his backyard (under the stars) and told me he couldnt imagine life without me. He explained how he had a whole day planned in August to propose "romantically". I told him this was the most romantic and unexpected way he could do it.

Something I will never forget and cherish forever.

Our Honeymoon Plans

Tony and I are so excited about our honeymoon. We have both been dying to go on a Cruise, so we've chosen Carnival Cruises that will be going to the Mahagony Bay Isla Roatan, Cayman Islands, Belize, and Cozumel. The day before we will stay at Hilton Garden Suites in Tampa, Florida.

Belize

This tropical paradise promises adventure, both onshore and off. Crystalline rivers flow through impressive lowland jungles, home to a myriad of rare wildlife. Silky sand beaches, waving palms and colorful coral gardens are just part of Belize's natural wonders. Whether mountain biking through a lush rainforest or snorkeling with sharks, you'll experience things you've only imagined.

ahogany Bay Isla Roatan

With silky-sand beaches and diamond-clear seas, Roatán, Honduras, is one of the Caribbean’s hidden gems. The largest of Honduras’s Bay Islands is a real beauty, built on a backbone of volcanic rock and ringed by the world’s second largest coral reef. Carnival® cruises to Roatán, Honduras promise superb diving and fishing and swoon-worthy beaches. The lush landscape of the wildlife reserves and pristine marine parkland of Roatán awaits you on your cruise to Honduras.

Cozumel

Make a splash with Carnival® cruises to Cozumel, a Caribbean island perched atop a coral reef. Cruises to Cozumel, Mexico, dock at the island's heart—just minutes from San Miguel's seafront shops and the white sand beach at Chankanaab National Park. Drift among star corals and sea fans on a Cozumel diving excursion or simply kick back on the beach beneath your own palm palapa as the turquoise waves roll in.

Grand Cayman Islands
Enjoy laidback British civility in a sun-splashed tropical locale on your Carnival® Grand Cayman cruise. Don’t let the island’s scrubland terrain fool you—a spectacular marine paradise lies just offshore of Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands, where a living undersea wall drops dramatically into the ocean deep. Cruises to Grand Cayman bring you directly to the best scuba diving and snorkeling in the kaleidoscopic Caribbean Sea.

Our Ceremony Site

We have decided to have our Ceremony at the John Hancock Observatory in Chicago, IL.

I've always loved the city and thought it would be real unique if we had the city skylne as our background.

Our Ceremony will be private for family and close friends. Details and invites will be added afterwards.

My side of how we met

After going through what I thought was the most difficult time of my life, I decided to go on Zoosk ( an online dating site).
A good friend of mine coaxed me into making a profile and meet some new people.

I was completely against sites like that after seeing many of my friends failing in that department. But shortly after signing up, I met Tony. We spoke for nearly two weeks before setting up a date. He kept asking when we would meet and I kept dragging my feet. Finally we met in February 2011. Our first date I knew I would be marrying him.

The rest is history...
